The delivery and logistics industries play an important role in our society. As such, they deserve to have their unified voice represented by an association. As the largest trade association for these industries, the Message Courier Association of America serves as your voice. Members focus on supporting North American commerce, while their association uses advocacy, networking, and education to promote and advance the delivery and logistics industries.

MCAA Fundamentals

MCAA was created in 1987 as the non-profit association of, for and by the messaging industry. Today it is the largest trade association within the same-day delivery industry, serving the needs of both carriers and shippers. For more than 25 years, this association has worked to promote the common interests of the industries it represents. Education and advocacy around the world have helped advance logistics and delivery to its current place in society.

Each year at the annual conference, which is the world’s largest messaging industry networking and educational event, a board of directors made up of members is elected. The staff, board, and 15 member-led committees ensure that the association’s processes and services meet the needs of its members. Members have access to many events and a large selection of resources, including the association’s publication, Time Critical Trade Magazine magazine.

Important Information for MCAA Members

Members are expected to abide by a code of ethics that indicates their commitment to work toward common goals while conducting business. By accepting this code, you also agree to support the ethical and business guidelines of the association. The actions of members and member companies are reflected both in the association and in the industry as a whole. Member companies must exhibit honesty and the highest levels of integrity.

Members fall into several categories, including regular members who are couriers, motor carriers, or motor carrier brokers. Affiliate members are non-motor carrier businesses that provide a product or service to the industry. Carrier members are other companies that control or own the goods being shipped.

Membership in this prestigious association is granted by the president or chief executive officer. Members may voluntarily resign at any time, and members who violate the bylaws, code of ethics, or other practice, rule, or agreement may be expelled. By joining this association, members of the delivery and logistics industries are exposed to educational, networking, and advocacy opportunities not typically available through other sources.
