Most of us love outdoor games and recreation. Basketball, baseball, soccer, tennis, whatever. But if you are interested in playing without having to go outside, then ping pong or table tennis is for you. It has the same basics as tennis, but instead of playing it on the court, you’re playing it on a green table. The net is the boundary between you and your opponent. The object of the game is to throw the ball towards your opponent’s box and it must touch his or her table and he or she has to return it to your side of the table to create a stable game. The score is up to 12. When a player fails to hit it and throws it back, it means a score for their opponent. If the ball touches the net, the player who throws it into the net loses his move.

A ball that hits the edge is considered a foul. The game goes on and on and the first player to score 12 or Love, a ping pong term, wins the game. As you play, you are unknowingly disciplining yourself, especially your hand, as you maneuver your shots to keep the ball within the playing area. Because in table tennis, the table has limited space, you need to be very alert about where your ball will land, thus disciplining your stroke and power as well.

Ping pong or table tennis is a very fun sport. Anyone can play the game. It is best when the weather prevents you from going outdoors. Why not start playing ping pong and play indoors? When the stress of day to day seems like too much to bear and you just want to relax, get up, grab that handy racket and head over to your green table with someone for a healthy and relaxing game of ping pong.
