Kourion and Lefkara Village
Kourion was a city that prospered from the 2nd century BC. C. until the beginning of the Middle Ages. Excavations continue at this incredible archaeological site, revealing new finds. Kourion features an impressive Greco-Roman theater, a Christian basilica, and stately villas with mosaic floors. The Nymphaeum is an elegant structure dedicated to the water nymphs and on the outskirts of the city is the place of worship of a forest god and the sanctuary of Hylates.
Lefkara Village, located in the Larnaca district, is known for its silver and lace handicrafts, which has a long history there. The unique and picturesque architecture that includes stone houses and cobbled streets distinguishes this town from others in the area. Within the town, tourists can explore craft and wax museums, chapels and churches dating back to the 11th century, the Machairas Monastery and the San Minas Convent.
