Trust me; I’ve been where you are. One of the best ways to maintain the success of a children’s party is to keep them entertained. Once you’ve lost your audience’s attention, there’s no telling what can happen to a room full of kids. That energy must be channeled. Here are some ideas of things that have worked for me, as I have hosted parties for my own children.
Games are an essential element to set up any party. Whatever your theme, like a pirate party for your boys or a fairy party for the girls, you can adapt traditional games to match the theme. For example, instead of “Put the tail on the donkey,” you might want to play “Put the eyepatch on the pirate” or “Put the wings on the fairy.” It’s also fun to incorporate a water game… send the pirates fishing or have your fairies rescue water toys.
