In many homes, the bathroom is the most neglected area in the entire room. It’s a small room that’s mostly painted white or a sickly green. However, today many homeowners began to pay more attention to their own bathrooms and give it the importance it deserves.

There are some interesting trends in modern bathrooms in regards to color that touch on bolder and brighter shades. You can choose a bright and cheerful burgundy or yellow or even an energizing teal. Many people also like seaside designs with the refreshing blues and greens of the ocean. You can go here with bright turquoise and some deep purple tones that can be in the wall tiles or wall color.

Although I personally don’t like brown, there is a strong tendency to use browns and blues on the walls. For example, you can use the wall painted in brown and then add blues as accents or patterned mosaics on the walls, floors and even showers. Also brown cabinets seem to be quite trendy nowadays.

Lots of people still prefer neutral colors, and that’s okay too, since neutrals are always in style. All you need is to add a couple of highlighter accents, a few shades of brown or gray, or different shades of the same color.

The classic white that used to be quite strong is today replaced by a soft, muted off-white that is very reminiscent of whipped cream. There are many shades of white that you can use and it gives the bathroom a nice effect when you alternate between them.

Don’t be afraid to experiment as your creativity will lead you to the best results your bathroom can possibly have.
