Fear your child has ADD or ADH? Fear of the side effects of prescription drugs? If so, you are not alone. There’s a good reason to worry: it’s your baby, and the side effects can be severe at times. So if this is true for your family, why not try some ways that have been proven to help not only children but also adults focus better? It’s guaranteed? Of course, not because everyone is different, but then again, the recipes are not guaranteed either.

Before you find a solution to your child’s focus problem, you must first find the cause. Read carefully below for the 2 critical factors that affect a child’s focus and mental abilities.

1. Environment: Chemicals in our environment discourage your child from concentrating because they overload and negatively interact with your child’s neurons; therefore, it affects the ability to concentrate and learn. In addition, constant stimulation also affects the child’s concentration because the brain is somewhat overloaded. You can only process so much, and unnecessary chemicals and stimulation prevent the necessary learning from taking place. This makes the child feel frustrated and concentrate even less.

  • The chemicals in cleaners are a big culprit in overtaxing their little bodies and interfering with learning. These chemicals not only cause neurological disorders, but can also cause physical problems in the lungs and other organs.

2. Nutrition – Nutrition is an important factor in a child’s health. In a world where the potato chip is the #1 vegetable for kids, we are sacrificing our children’s nutrition for convenience and instant taste pleasure. Everything that happens in your baby, the mouth of young adults, is used for a purpose, the purpose should be healthy growth, not confusion or chemical overload for the body. Therefore, natural and pure is the safest food for children.

  • Don’t be fooled by these “sugar free” or “caffeine free” gimmicks and never give your child addictive and useless beverages like soda or worse, some unhealthy energy drink. Children are born with their own natural energy. Don’t help them get addicted to the things the adults are trying to get away from.
  • Preservatives – Opt for plain meats that are not processed loaded with more chemicals. These only make the child’s body have to filter more waste. That means more work for the liver, kidneys, and spleen.

Now that we know what to stay away from. What should we do to help our precious child with ADD or ADH?

1. Remove as many chemicals as we can from the child’s environment. First, switch to safe, non-toxic green cleaners. If you can, do the same for your child’s school or at least his classroom.

2. Maximize the nutrition your child consumes. You can do this in 2 ways.

First, eliminate the products your child is currently consuming that are harming him: processed foods (meats, etc., unless they are nitrate/nitrite-free; artificial sugars; caffeine, etc.). It’s easier to switch to something else your child is excited about. If your child is old enough, let her help you choose from a list of healthy options or help you prepare a meal. My kids started doing this around age 2, if not sooner. As they get older, of course, they can do more. Children love the foods THEY create.

Second, add high-quality supplements that are 100% designed for your child’s needs. We recommend a multivitamin with lactoferrin, an omega that contains ultrapure DHA and omega 3 fatty acids. Ultrapure is essential because omega supplements have a high rate of contamination on the market because many fish contain mercury and other harmful chemicals. We certainly don’t want to give your kids supplements that can harm them. For this reason, you should also not give omega supplements to children who have allergies to fish. Another important nutritional element for children is that they should eat 3 to 5 small, balanced meals a day. Breakfast should NEVER be skipped!

In summary, to help a child with ADD or ADH succeed, you must do the following:

  1. Limit the amount of “bad stimuli” around your child: These chemicals come in many forms: chemicals, cleaners, foods, loud noises, etc. Replace them with ‘healthy stimuli’ such as non-toxic cleansers, pure foods, soothing sounds, etc.
  2. Increase the child’s nutrition by choosing less processed or better yet, unprocessed foods; cutting out poisonous and addictive foods like soda, coffee, sugary drinks and choosing filtered milk and water (not bottled water in most cases) and 100% juice is also okay sometimes; and adding a healthy and safe supplement. We recommend companies that have been around for a long time (50+ years) that have not had numerous recalls. Only choose a company that uses at least double-blind peer reviews so that the studies are not biased.

Best of all, these basic tips work not only for children with ADD and ADH but for all children PLUS adults. These tips will teach your kids life-saving habits forever.
