This guitar is produced as a Sheryl Crows 1962 Gibson Country Western replica and features a square shoulder body style. It produces a powerful sound thanks in large part to its large sitka spruce top. The back and sides of the guitar are made of mahogany, as is the neck that features a rosewood fingerboard.

The guitar is very well built and definitely ‘artist’ quality. In real user reviews, you can tell this Gibson signature is a very versatile instrument with fantastic sound coming from its mahogany back, full of depth and has that all-important volume to carry across the room. On the treble side, you’ll be rewarded with the bell-like clarity everyone is looking for in a guitar at this price point and build quality.

Appearance wise the guitar is beautiful and has mother of pearl inlays on the fingerboard and decal logo on the headstock. Tuning is always a key issue in acoustics and this one doesn’t disappoint with nickel tuners and white knobs, it’s stable, responsive and smooth in its tuning action. Finally, the Sheryl Crow Signature Acoustic Guitar features excellent electronics, and of course you can’t get larger than life than a Hummingbird-style pickguard to really turn on the flash.

The wood tones represented in this acoustic are very warm and have a honey glow thanks to the antique lacquer finish. The sides are stained with dark cherry which gives the guitar a very nice overall look.

To protect the instrument, it comes with a hard case, and whether you’re traveling or at home, you can be sure that this guitar will be well protected. Most good guitar shops will have a few Gibson Hummingbirds to try and this model should definitely be on your list, I just hope the shop has one!
